Day 8 -- Tuesday, March 11, 2025

Scripture: Psalm 27:7-14

Devotion: In the second half of Psalm 27, we hear vulnerability in the psalmist's voice: "Do not hide your face from me." After boldly declaring God as light and salvation, the writer now acknowledges moments of uncertainty. This honest wrestling mirrors our own wilderness journeys—confidence and doubt often live side by side.

The psalm ends with a powerful encouragement: "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage." Waiting is perhaps the hardest part of the wilderness. When we can't see the way forward, waiting feels like inaction. But biblical waiting isn't passive—it's an active posture of expectation and trust.

What are you waiting for right now? Where do you need courage to persist when the path isn't clear? Today, let this psalm remind you that it's okay to bring both your confidence and your questions to God. In the waiting, courage grows.

Daily Action Steps:
1. Practice intentional waiting today—sit in silence for five minutes, allowing yourself to simply be in God's presence.
2. Write down a situation where you need courage and place it somewhere you'll see throughout the day.
3. Reach out to someone who is in a season of waiting and offer encouragement.

Prayer: Patient God, when I grow weary of waiting, grant me the strength to persevere. Help me trust that you are working even when I cannot see it. Give my heart courage for the journey ahead. Amen.

Breath Prayer: (Inhale) I will wait... (Exhale) for your goodness, Lord.
